In Los Angeles for anyone old enough to remember, having cable TV was a really big deal. The only other Television were the big three networks (zzzz), and it was not until the early 1980s that cable finally hit. Poor old Z channel was blown out of the water by HBO, Showtime and many more with a fee they just ran the movies over and over.

From adversity comes opportunity. I called up the head of Z channel and told him I had our A&R ring the head of Z channel and told him he could have any rate he wanted and run the video as much as he liked. Wow. He ran it non-stop 24/7. Since every producer, actor,directors, studio heads, casting and whatever still had Z channel our mail was flooded by people telling us they saw the video. Word of mouth: The best advertising in the world. Thanks, for the memories.

Later at Medim (when vinyl still sold) I went down to Cannes from Stockholm and met the boys from Skytraks and they kindly invited me on to the show with Gary Davis. Thanks boys, I love the smell of Napalm for the Major labels in the morning.
